How to Stay Hydrated (How Much Water to Drink)
I'm sure we all know that we need water to live! Do you know how much water you should be drinking daily to maintain a healthy life? Here I will tell you how much water to drink and some tips on how to do so.
Whether you are working out or not you should be drinking at least 0.5 oz per pound of body weight. EX: If I weigh 200 lbs that means at a minimum I need 100 oz per day.
Drinking enough water has tons of health benefits such as healthy skin, keeping you full longer, feeling hydrated, healthy hair, weight loss and the list goes on.
More than 70% of people fail to drink enough water a day!
For anyone it is a good goal to drink a whole gallon per day which is 128 oz.
A tip to make sure you drink the whole gallon is to put marks on the gallon itself with certain times. For example you could draw lines and put 9am, 11 am, 2 pm,5pm,8pm.
If you do not feel like lugging a gallon of water around with you get a 24/32 oz water bottle. Then you know you just need to drink 4-5 water bottles per day to reach the goal of the whole gallon.
Some other easy tips are to drink 8-16oz when you first wake up. Drink 8-16oz with each meal. If you do this you will (or should) be getting plenty of water a day.
Try out one of these tips and I promise that drinking water will become a whole lot easier!
